ADHD Coach in San Jose | ADHD Burnout & Executive Function
Routines that worked for years can stop working when life changes. A new job, a move, a diagnosis, or midlife shifts can all prompt a fresh look at how the week gets done.
San Jose is a big city, and my ADHD coaching in San Jose reaches adults in Willow Glen, Japantown, the Rose Garden neighborhood, Almaden Valley, Berryessa, and Evergreen.
We start with what feels most pressing to you. From there, we look for patterns and try small changes, adjusting as we learn.
How it works
We dig in and get curious
Your first step is a free discovery call. You can share what's going on and what kind of support you're looking for, and we can both get a sense of whether working together makes sense. Ongoing sessions are held over video, weekly or every other week, based on your capacity.
We see whether coaching fits
Before any strategy comes into it, we talk through what your days look like, where momentum drops off, what tends to help on a good day, and what gets pushed aside when things pile up.
We try things and adjust
From there, we experiment. That might mean looking at routines, transitions, planning, communication, rest, or how decisions get made. What helps gets kept, what doesn't gets changed, and you leave with more options for when life shifts again.

Strategies that once worked can stop fitting as life changes. In ADHD coaching, we sort out which routines still help, which ones have faded, and what new approaches might fit your current responsibilities and energy. We try them out week by week.
Overplanning, overworking, or staying quiet about what feels hard are coping habits many women with ADHD know well. During ADHD coaching for women, you can look at those habits, keep what serves you, and explore new forms of support.
Burnout often builds slowly until even small tasks feel heavy. ADHD burnout coaching looks at the pressures in your life, the expectations you carry, and the kind of recovery that helps you, so you can make changes at a pace that feels doable.
Shifts in energy, memory, and mood during perimenopause can change how ADHD shows up. ADHD & perimenopause coaching offers a space to notice those changes, talk them through, and adjust your routines so they fit this stage of life.
Receiving an ADHD diagnosis as an adult can lead to new insights about your past and present. Exploring those insights is part of late diagnosed ADHD coaching, along with choosing what feels important and how you'd like to use it moving forward.
Career challenges with ADHD can involve focus, organization, communication, or feeling unsure whether your role is a good match. In ADHD career coaching, we look at the details of your work and plan changes that support your goals.
If your work is creative, ADHD & creatives coaching may be a good fit too.
Notebooks full of ideas and few finished projects, or one big project that feels stuck, are familiar places to begin. ADHD & creatives coaching helps you understand your creative patterns and test ways to keep making progress on the work that matters to you.

Testimonials
"I learned a lot working with Quinn. We mapped out a lot of my ADHD patterns and Quinn helped me see many things that I was doing that were not necessarily helping me. Quinn also offered frameworks and tools to help support me when that is what the situation called for."
Michael H.
"I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to work with Quinn. It was an incredibly valuable experience for me. I looked forward to every session, and each one brought new insights. Quinn helped me work through several deeply important challenges, and I feel much more grounded and self-aware as a result. I wholeheartedly recommend Quinn to anyone navigating neurodiversity in their daily life, but not only. Even without ADHD, she is an exceptional coach and one of those rare professionals who can truly change the trajectory of someone's life."
Masha O.
"There is always more to learn and reflect upon; that is what I have learned the most about myself through Quinn's excellent coaching. Despite having a relatively deep understanding of myself and my ADHD, a competent coach's skill is to foster further self-reflection and to allow the client room to trust themselves in this deeper quest for self-understanding. Quinn has a mastery in knowing when to give me space, when to ask a thought-provoking question, and when to remind me of my wins/strengths. I am thankful for this perspective, which coaching offers to those with ADHD, and for its strength-based approach rather than one of brokenness and negativity. Yes, ADHDers need assistance and strategies with living in a world made for neurotypicals, but sometimes we just need to be reminded that despite it all, we are whole and we are okay."

Hello, I'm Quinn Geear, an ADHD coach in San Jose for adults throughout the South Bay
Years in IT leadership taught me to notice patterns and to break overwhelming information down into something doable. In my forties, I learned I have ADHD, and that led me to train at ADD Coach Academy and start Quinn Geear Coaching.
I've kept a hands on collage practice for over ten years, and it reminds me how much creative time can restore. Coaching with me often centers on burnout, late diagnosis, perimenopause, career change, or creativity, and many clients bring more than one.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an ADHD coach actually do?
An ADHD coach works alongside you to understand how your attention, energy, and motivation move, then builds practical strategies and accountability around that. With me, that also includes strengths anchoring, values based strategy, and support across every part of your life, not only productivity.
How long do you typically work with clients?
That depends on where you're starting and what you're working toward. Most clients find their footing within three to six months, and many continue longer for ongoing accountability and support. We figure out the right pace together as the work unfolds.
Will insurance pay for an ADHD coach?
ADHD coaching typically isn't covered by health insurance. It is, however, eligible for FSA and HSA funds, as long as you have a Letter of Medical Necessity from your doctor showing coaching is part of your ADHD care.
Do I need a diagnosis to start coaching with you?
No. I work with adults at every stage of understanding their own ADHD: some with a recent diagnosis, some with one from decades ago they never revisited, and some who have never been formally evaluated and are working from a long held hunch. If a formal evaluation is the right next step for you, I can refer you to a psychiatrist for an assessment.
