ADHD Coach in Hayward | ADHD Burnout & Executive Function
Many people start coaching because of something specific: mornings that start late, a calendar packed past capacity, or a creative idea that keeps waiting its turn.
ADHD coaching in Hayward with me is open to adults in every part of town, from downtown around B Street to the Hayward Hills near Cal State East Bay, the Fairway Park area, and the neighborhoods off Tennyson Road.
In our time together we slow the week down enough to see it. We start with one or two things you'd like to feel different and follow them from there.
How it works
We dig in and get curious
Your first step is a free discovery call. You can share what's going on and what kind of support you're looking for, and we can both get a sense of whether working together makes sense. Ongoing sessions are held over video, weekly or every other week, based on your capacity.
We see whether coaching fits
Before any strategy comes into it, we talk through what your days look like, where momentum drops off, what tends to help on a good day, and what gets pushed aside when things pile up.
We try things and adjust
From there, we experiment. That might mean looking at routines, transitions, planning, communication, rest, or how decisions get made. What helps gets kept, what doesn't gets changed, and you leave with more options for when life shifts again.

Mornings, handoffs between tasks, and the shift from work mode to home mode are where many adults lose steam.
ADHD coaching gives us time to study those transitions and test small changes that make them smoother. What works on a Monday may look different by Friday, and that's useful information too.
Women with ADHD often get good at hiding the extra effort things take. In ADHD coaching for women, you can set that effort down for an hour and look at what support might feel like if it were built around you. We go at whatever pace feels comfortable.
You might notice that rest no longer refills the tank the way it once did. ADHD burnout coaching looks at pacing, obligations, and recovery with care, and we decide together what can wait.
If work is a big part of the drain, we can bring in pieces of ADHD career coaching too.
Some people notice perimenopause changing the way focus, mood, or energy behaves. ADHD & perimenopause coaching is a place to look at those changes without judgment and rework your days around them. Any medical questions stay with your doctor, and we focus on daily life.
A diagnosis later in life can prompt you to reread your own history with a different lens. In late diagnosed ADHD coaching, we can go through that history at a pace you set and look at which old strategies still help and which ones you're ready to retire.
Work challenges with ADHD stretch well past to do lists. In ADHD career coaching, topics might include feedback conversations, accommodations, burnout at work, or a career move you're weighing. We tailor the support to the job you have now and the one you might want later.
Maybe you have five projects open and a sixth idea pulling at you. ADHD & creatives coaching helps you sort through which ones you want to tend, what finishing could look like, and how to keep the work feeling like yours. Unfinished pieces are welcome here.

Testimonials
"I learned a lot working with Quinn. We mapped out a lot of my ADHD patterns and Quinn helped me see many things that I was doing that were not necessarily helping me. Quinn also offered frameworks and tools to help support me when that is what the situation called for."
Michael H.
"I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to work with Quinn. It was an incredibly valuable experience for me. I looked forward to every session, and each one brought new insights. Quinn helped me work through several deeply important challenges, and I feel much more grounded and self-aware as a result. I wholeheartedly recommend Quinn to anyone navigating neurodiversity in their daily life, but not only. Even without ADHD, she is an exceptional coach and one of those rare professionals who can truly change the trajectory of someone's life."
Masha O.
"There is always more to learn and reflect upon; that is what I have learned the most about myself through Quinn's excellent coaching. Despite having a relatively deep understanding of myself and my ADHD, a competent coach's skill is to foster further self-reflection and to allow the client room to trust themselves in this deeper quest for self-understanding. Quinn has a mastery in knowing when to give me space, when to ask a thought-provoking question, and when to remind me of my wins/strengths. I am thankful for this perspective, which coaching offers to those with ADHD, and for its strength-based approach rather than one of brokenness and negativity. Yes, ADHDers need assistance and strategies with living in a world made for neurotypicals, but sometimes we just need to be reminded that despite it all, we are whole and we are okay."

Hello, I'm Quinn Geear, an ADHD coach in Hayward working with adults around the Bay
My ADHD diagnosis arrived in my forties, after years in IT leadership. I trained with ADD Coach Academy and then founded Quinn Geear Coaching.
For more than a decade I've made analog collages, and creativity shows up often in my work with clients. Some arrive in burnout, some in the middle of perimenopause, and some with a fresh diagnosis or a career decision on the table.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an ADHD coach actually do?
An ADHD coach works alongside you to understand how your attention, energy, and motivation move, then builds practical strategies and accountability around that. With me, that also includes strengths anchoring, values based strategy, and support across every part of your life, not only productivity.
How long do you typically work with clients?
That depends on where you're starting and what you're working toward. Most clients find their footing within three to six months, and many continue longer for ongoing accountability and support. We figure out the right pace together as the work unfolds.
Will insurance pay for an ADHD coach?
ADHD coaching typically isn't covered by health insurance. It is, however, eligible for FSA and HSA funds, as long as you have a Letter of Medical Necessity from your doctor showing coaching is part of your ADHD care.
Do I need a diagnosis to start coaching with you?
No. I work with adults at every stage of understanding their own ADHD: some with a recent diagnosis, some with one from decades ago they never revisited, and some who have never been formally evaluated and are working from a long held hunch. If a formal evaluation is the right next step for you, I can refer you to a psychiatrist for an assessment.
