ADHD Coach in Concord | ADHD Burnout & Executive Function
A pile of unanswered messages, a project that stalled at the halfway point, a feeling of being busy all day without touching the things that matter most. Those are familiar starting points for the adults I coach.
The ADHD coaching in Concord I offer reaches every part of the city, from Todos Santos Plaza downtown and the stretches along Clayton Road and Willow Pass Road to Newhall Park and the neighborhoods closer to the Concord Pavilion.
We spend early sessions mapping what a usual week asks of you. With that in view, we pick one change to experiment with first.
How it works
We dig in and get curious
Your first step is a free discovery call. You can share what's going on and what kind of support you're looking for, and we can both get a sense of whether working together makes sense. Ongoing sessions are held over video, weekly or every other week, based on your capacity.
We see whether coaching fits
Before any strategy comes into it, we talk through what your days look like, where momentum drops off, what tends to help on a good day, and what gets pushed aside when things pile up.
We try things and adjust
From there, we experiment. That might mean looking at routines, transitions, planning, communication, rest, or how decisions get made. What helps gets kept, what doesn't gets changed, and you leave with more options for when life shifts again.

Switching from one task to the next can eat up more time than the tasks themselves. In ADHD coaching, we look closely at those in between moments and try cues, rituals, or tweaks that help you move along. You get to decide which ideas earn a place in your routine.
Growing up, many women with ADHD learn to mask what feels hard and push through quietly. ADHD coaching for women gives you a place to drop the mask for a while and consider what kind of support you'd want if no one else's expectations were in the room.
Rest might feel out of reach lately, even on days off. ADHD burnout coaching looks at the commitments and expectations wearing you down and explores which ones could be shared, softened, or postponed. Recovery becomes part of the plan.
Many women notice their ADHD feels different as they move into perimenopause. ADHD & perimenopause coaching helps you observe those changes in concentration, mood, and energy, then adjust your days to fit. We focus on everyday life and leave medical care to your doctors.
A diagnosis in your thirties, forties, or later can change the story you've told about yourself. You can explore that story at your own pace in late diagnosed ADHD coaching. We can also look at present patterns you'd like to approach differently.
Workplaces vary a lot in how well they support people with ADHD. Through ADHD career coaching, we can look at the conditions that help you do your best work, how to talk about what you need, and whether your current path still makes sense.
Creative work with ADHD can be full of momentum one week and silent the next. ADHD & creatives coaching explores your creative patterns without judgment and helps you find ways back to the work when you've drifted. Your art matters for its own sake.

Testimonials
"I learned a lot working with Quinn. We mapped out a lot of my ADHD patterns and Quinn helped me see many things that I was doing that were not necessarily helping me. Quinn also offered frameworks and tools to help support me when that is what the situation called for."
Michael H.
"I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to work with Quinn. It was an incredibly valuable experience for me. I looked forward to every session, and each one brought new insights. Quinn helped me work through several deeply important challenges, and I feel much more grounded and self-aware as a result. I wholeheartedly recommend Quinn to anyone navigating neurodiversity in their daily life, but not only. Even without ADHD, she is an exceptional coach and one of those rare professionals who can truly change the trajectory of someone's life."
Masha O.
"There is always more to learn and reflect upon; that is what I have learned the most about myself through Quinn's excellent coaching. Despite having a relatively deep understanding of myself and my ADHD, a competent coach's skill is to foster further self-reflection and to allow the client room to trust themselves in this deeper quest for self-understanding. Quinn has a mastery in knowing when to give me space, when to ask a thought-provoking question, and when to remind me of my wins/strengths. I am thankful for this perspective, which coaching offers to those with ADHD, and for its strength-based approach rather than one of brokenness and negativity. Yes, ADHDers need assistance and strategies with living in a world made for neurotypicals, but sometimes we just need to be reminded that despite it all, we are whole and we are okay."

Hello, I'm Quinn Geear, an ADHD coach in Concord for adults in central Contra Costa
Quinn Geear Coaching is my practice, and it grew from my own experience of an ADHD diagnosis in my forties. I spent years in IT leadership before training as a coach with ADD Coach Academy.
I've been making analog collages for over ten years, which keeps me close to the creative process. People usually reach out when they're coming out of burnout, adjusting to a late diagnosis, moving through perimenopause, changing careers, or chasing a creative goal.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an ADHD coach actually do?
An ADHD coach works alongside you to understand how your attention, energy, and motivation move, then builds practical strategies and accountability around that. With me, that also includes strengths anchoring, values based strategy, and support across every part of your life, not only productivity.
How long do you typically work with clients?
That depends on where you're starting and what you're working toward. Most clients find their footing within three to six months, and many continue longer for ongoing accountability and support. We figure out the right pace together as the work unfolds.
Will insurance pay for an ADHD coach?
ADHD coaching typically isn't covered by health insurance. It is, however, eligible for FSA and HSA funds, as long as you have a Letter of Medical Necessity from your doctor showing coaching is part of your ADHD care.
Do I need a diagnosis to start coaching with you?
No. I work with adults at every stage of understanding their own ADHD: some with a recent diagnosis, some with one from decades ago they never revisited, and some who have never been formally evaluated and are working from a long held hunch. If a formal evaluation is the right next step for you, I can refer you to a psychiatrist for an assessment.
