ADHD Coach in Castro Valley | ADHD Burnout & Executive Function
Some of the people I coach built workarounds years ago that held up fine until a new role, a growing family, or a new decade changed the load. Others are newly diagnosed and curious about what the label means for habits they already have.
I offer ADHD coaching in Castro Valley to adults living off Castro Valley Boulevard near the BART station, up in Five Canyons and Palomares Hills, or on the streets that wind toward Lake Chabot.
Our early conversations usually zoom in on one stuck spot, something small enough to look at closely. From there we notice what surrounds it and pick something to try first.
How it works
We dig in and get curious
Your first step is a free discovery call. You can share what's going on and what kind of support you're looking for, and we can both get a sense of whether working together makes sense. Ongoing sessions are held over video, weekly or every other week, based on your capacity.
We see whether coaching fits
Before any strategy comes into it, we talk through what your days look like, where momentum drops off, what tends to help on a good day, and what gets pushed aside when things pile up.
We try things and adjust
From there, we experiment. That might mean looking at routines, transitions, planning, communication, rest, or how decisions get made. What helps gets kept, what doesn't gets changed, and you leave with more options for when life shifts again.

Maybe the plan makes sense on paper and the follow through keeps slipping. In ADHD coaching sessions we look at the exact moments where a task stalls, then try supports that suit your schedule and energy. Anything that doesn't help gets dropped without fuss.
Many women I meet have carried the family calendar, the work calendar, and a lot of other people's needs for a long time. ADHD coaching for women makes space to look at what that has asked of you and what you might want for yourself now.
Burnout can build quietly while the outside of your life still looks steady.
Through ADHD burnout coaching, we look at where your energy goes, what recovery means for you, and which commitments could loosen their grip. Nothing has to change all at once.
Midlife hormonal shifts can change how attention, sleep, and memory show up from one week to the next. In ADHD & perimenopause coaching, we keep track of what feels different lately and reshape routines to match this season. Your own observations lead the way here.
Learning about ADHD as an adult can stir up a lot or very little, and either response is okay.
Late diagnosed ADHD coaching offers room to look back with fresh context and decide what you want to carry forward. Some clients spend a few sessions here, and others touch on it now and then.
Your job might be asking for more juggling than it used to, or you might be wondering whether it still fits at all. With ADHD career coaching, we look at role fit, workload, how you communicate needs, and where you'd like your work to head.
Creative work has value whether or not anyone pays for it.
In ADHD & creatives coaching, we can get specific about the projects you start, the ones you circle, and the conditions that help you stay with a piece once the first spark fades.

Testimonials
"I learned a lot working with Quinn. We mapped out a lot of my ADHD patterns and Quinn helped me see many things that I was doing that were not necessarily helping me. Quinn also offered frameworks and tools to help support me when that is what the situation called for."
Michael H.
"I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to work with Quinn. It was an incredibly valuable experience for me. I looked forward to every session, and each one brought new insights. Quinn helped me work through several deeply important challenges, and I feel much more grounded and self-aware as a result. I wholeheartedly recommend Quinn to anyone navigating neurodiversity in their daily life, but not only. Even without ADHD, she is an exceptional coach and one of those rare professionals who can truly change the trajectory of someone's life."
Masha O.
"There is always more to learn and reflect upon; that is what I have learned the most about myself through Quinn's excellent coaching. Despite having a relatively deep understanding of myself and my ADHD, a competent coach's skill is to foster further self-reflection and to allow the client room to trust themselves in this deeper quest for self-understanding. Quinn has a mastery in knowing when to give me space, when to ask a thought-provoking question, and when to remind me of my wins/strengths. I am thankful for this perspective, which coaching offers to those with ADHD, and for its strength-based approach rather than one of brokenness and negativity. Yes, ADHDers need assistance and strategies with living in a world made for neurotypicals, but sometimes we just need to be reminded that despite it all, we are whole and we are okay."

Hello, I'm Quinn Geear, an ADHD coach in Castro Valley for adults across the East Bay
I started Quinn Geear Coaching after learning in my forties that I have ADHD. Before coaching, I spent years in IT leadership, and I completed my coach training through ADD Coach Academy.
Outside of sessions, I've kept an analog collage practice going for more than ten years. Clients tend to bring me burnout, a late diagnosis, perimenopause, a career crossroads, or a creative project that needs room.

Let's talk about what's on your plate
A free discovery call is a low key way to share what's going on and see whether coaching with me feels right.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does an ADHD coach actually do?
An ADHD coach works alongside you to understand how your attention, energy, and motivation move, then builds practical strategies and accountability around that. With me, that also includes strengths anchoring, values based strategy, and support across every part of your life, not only productivity.
How long do you typically work with clients?
That depends on where you're starting and what you're working toward. Most clients find their footing within three to six months, and many continue longer for ongoing accountability and support. We figure out the right pace together as the work unfolds.
Will insurance pay for an ADHD coach?
ADHD coaching typically isn't covered by health insurance. It is, however, eligible for FSA and HSA funds, as long as you have a Letter of Medical Necessity from your doctor showing coaching is part of your ADHD care.
Do I need a diagnosis to start coaching with you?
No. I work with adults at every stage of understanding their own ADHD: some with a recent diagnosis, some with one from decades ago they never revisited, and some who have never been formally evaluated and are working from a long held hunch. If a formal evaluation is the right next step for you, I can refer you to a psychiatrist for an assessment.
